 | Keyed smooth Finish. Intermediate repair. This is a keyed repair cutting some of the prep leaving it ready to receive fillers. For those who prefer to use there own fillers. Phone or email for more details. |
 | Fine smooth finish. Complete repair. We use special fillers to get it to a smooth finish (It's not perfect.) This is for those who are giving it to someone else to Finish or would like to get striaght on with the paint. Phone or email for more details. Just incase you missed it, we do not paint. |
How we price. Each job has a starting price from £30 no matter how many items you bring to us at one time. Each job is judged on its merits. A final price is given when we have had a chance to examine the repair in the flesh. |
Posting to us. We are happy to receive farings and plastic part repairs in the post. We suggest Parcel Force 48hrs as it is the most cost affective method of dispatch and have found it to be a good reliable service in the past. In alot of cases the weight of the package comes in at 5kgs or less for a single faring. We use 48hrs standard for returning your item.The price indicated on the Parcel Force website, is what we use as return poastage. Please let us know when you have posted it by text or email. |  |
Packageing Please make sure that you pack your items properly for it's return. If you do not there will be an additional charge for packing materials. Please do not send us parts you do not intend to have repaired. We have reluctantly introduced a storage charge of £5 per day, per iterm. More information on Blog and FAQ. |
Hints and Tips Keep your old panels if you replace them, they may save on an expensive repair if you come off. If you come off and are unhurt it's a good idea to pick up any pieces that have broken off it may save you money later. If a panel gets cracked put a piece of tape over it to help slow it's progression by supporting the crack until you can get it repaired. If a piece of faring is about to fall off break it off and put it in a safe place, a bit that is missing is harder to weld back. |
Customer Testimonals I was asked by Mitch to give a small testimonial on Plasweld, but I can,t do that.......I,m Biased you see!!! The reason is he has fixed my bike more times I can count to,(only 20 fingers and toes you see). It started many years ago when I went back to bikes and yes you gessed it.... Not long and off I came. A friend of mine then had work done by Mitch and recommended him, so off I popped with plastics in hand. 3 day later voila as good as new minus the paint job that was required. Took that to the sprayer and got a pink bike with paint splatter I was not a happy chappy and lucky for the sprayer he could run faster than me! (but that's another story!) Made Mitch smile through! That year I saw him a further time. The following year I got a bigger bike and wow Mitch was happy, 6 times off that year, but 3 times in one day?(Psycho)! I'm just not very lucky that's my excuse! All this was wearing thin with the family. Another 4/5 fall offs on that one. Time for a new bike! This one was special, 4 day in and off I came..... exitement in Yorkshire I hit some diesel not a good mix! I managed to crawl home with bits falling off every 10 miles. I had this bike for many years and had to visit Mitch at least twice a year for minor scrapes and falls. I was often asked why I didn't go and buy new parts, the reason I like to be different. As I got older the fear of getting hurt slowed me down. I used to use an off, as an excuse to let Mitch do his wonders and make cosmetic changes to the design (never did like Japanese design!) I had a major spill on my GPZ smashing the nose cone and side panels, I was unable to find a new or second hand replacement anywhere, as its quite an old bike so I tried Plasweld, I did not believe it could be repaired but what a great job! When I picked it up I thought they had found a new one! I cannot thank them enough. |
